About Me

Hi there! My name's Kate.

I grew up in Denver, Colorado, where I spent my days listening to great music, doodling, making up stories, and creating album covers for my fake 90's cats-in-space-themed pop band. I'm a passionate storyteller and narrative illustrator at heart, with a focus on storybook illustration and character design. On a normal day my work can be almost anything, from concept art to freelance editorial illustration to figure sculpture. I have also worked professionally as a web editor, graphic designer, historical illustrator, and general plant nerd, and I pride myself in being as versatile as possible. My clients have included Red Tree Marketing, Earls Restaurant & Bar, Leo Burnett Canada, and SA BEST.

I graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland, with a B.F.A. in Illustration, and am currently conquering the great city of San Antonio, Texas.

Want to get in touch with me? I'd be happy to hear from you! Feedback is always welcome and commissions are, of course, open.
